Afternoon Extended Program – Extra Curricula Clubs

The Creative Pod – Art and Craft activities

Including art as an important part of a children’s daily routine can have an enormous impact on their growth. Not only will it prepare the children for academic success in school, but it will foster early emotional development and offer them an opportunity to express themselves creatively.

Objectives and Outcomes Through art, children will:

  • Strengthen spatial reasoning and early math skills
  • Build critical language skills
  • Fine motor skills
  • Practice decision making  
  • Foster Emotional Development and Regulation
  • Enhances children’s hand eye co-ordination 
  • Identification of shapes, colour and texture
  • Creativity skills

Little Scientists – Fun science activities

Science club will give basic grounding in scientific concepts and scientific thinking. It also supports the development of other skills such as communication skills, collaborative skills, team working and perseverance, as well as analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Objectives and Outcomes

  • Sets out to shed light on the intersection of science and mathematics education for young children with creativity
  • It can foster a lifelong love of science. Children are programmed to explore and experiment right from the start
  • It gives a basic grounding in scientific concepts and scientific thinking.
  • It supports the development of other skills such as communication skills, collaborative skills, team working and perseverance, as well as analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Drama Club – Performing Arts, Storytelling, Acting, Roleplay

Drama club will prepare children to deal with life’s problems – drama gives children the opportunity to rehearse roles, characters and a broad spectrum of life situations. Creating movement to a story will support memory development and make it easier to remember with accuracy. It will also help build confidence, develop speech, communication and presentation skills.

Objectives and Outcomes

  • Listening to a story activates parts in a child’s brain that allows them to turn the story into their own ideas and experience thanks to a process called Neural Coupling.

Dance & Music Club – Music and Movement

Music and dance engage the brain. Children learn new things, like sounds, words and patterns through music. It helps cultivate communication skills and allows kids to express their emotions and themselves. It also helps foster physical and gross motor skills improving balance and coordination.
